Casey Lyon, MAI – Commercial Real Estate Appraiser

The company was founded by Casey Lyon, MAI, who has thirteen plus years of experience as a commercial real estate appraiser. Casey grew up in Marietta, GA where he attended Sprayberry High School and has spent a majority of his life living in metro Atlanta with stops in Athens, GA, Memphis, TN and Oxford, MS. He now lives in Lawrenceville, GA with his wife of 12 years, 7 year old daughter, 6 year old son and numerous pets. When he is not racing to meet a commercial appraisal deadline, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and playing sports. Additionally, he is actively involved in his local church and volunteers his time in mentoring programs.

Casey attended college at the University of Mississippi where he obtained a Masters Degree in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and a love for Ole Miss sports. After college, his professional career began at a national accounting firm which laid a foundation for an in depth understanding of income-producing properties and gained a skill set that would be used in his commercial real estate valuation career.

The first 12 years of his commercial appraisal career were under the tutelage of Michael Smith, MAI at Buckhead Advisory Group. From 2007 until July 2016 Casey appraised a total of 959 properties consisting of:

In 2015, Casey decided it was time to leave the nest, and launched out on his own starting Crossroads Appraisal Group. Featuring a professional staff of commercial appraisers and wide range of expertise, Crossroad Appraisal Group has experience in commercial property valuations for financing, estate work, bankruptcy proceedings including court testimony, partnership dissolution, eminent domain and tax appeals. David Randall, MAI – Commercial Real Estate Appraiser

Prior to joining Casey Lyon, MAI at Crossroads, David served as a commercial appraisal reviewer for Wells Fargo Bank for almost three years, most recently on the large commercial team as part of the bank’s risk management department, where he specialized in managing and reviewing appraisals for institutional properties with loan amounts greater than $10 million dollars. David primarily worked with:

National portfolio assignments
Repurchase obligations
Participation loans with other major financial institutions

While working at Wells Fargo, he developed a reputation for providing precise, on-time reviews while delivering exceptional customer service. Prior to Wells Fargo, David worked for Buckhead Advisory Group as an appraiser where he trained under Michael Smith, MAI. David has appraised hundreds of properties including, but not limited to:

Before becoming an appraiser, David held multiple sales and operations positions with financial institutions such as the former National Bank of Commerce, Capital One, Morgan Stanley and RBC Bank (now PNC). This included time in underwriting/credit analyst and business lending positions, helping him to gain a better understanding of banking operations and serving client needs.

David is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. He holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute. He also attended the RMA Commercial Lending School at East Carolina University.

David is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and resides in Roswell. When not spending time with his wife, Kelly and two children, Avery and Brock, David enjoys watching a variety of Ole Miss sports and college football in general.
